AIA NZ is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben McQuay to the role of Strategic Accounts Manager. McQuay, previously AIA NZ’s Regional Business Development Manager for the Northern region, will step into the new role from Monday, 15 August.
“We are thrilled to have Ben take up this vital role for our business,” says Sam Tremethick, AIA NZ’s Chief Partnership Insurance Officer. “With the changing regulatory landscape and operating within the FAP framework, the role of Strategic Accounts Manager continues to be critical for AIA NZ as the key conduit between our business and the IFA market.
“We know Ben will bring great market expertise and relationship management experience to this position, which will be invaluable to the ongoing success of our key partnerships.”
McQuay has been involved with the financial services industry for almost 20 years, with over 14 years in a variety of roles within AIA. A sporting enthusiast and active supporter of his local football club, McQuay continues AIA’s focus on health, wellbeing and high performance, and is committed to helping people lead Healthier, Longer, Better lives.
“I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue to add value and grow AIA’s relationships with our Strategic Partners,” says McQuay.
Tremethick adds “This appointment is another great example of how AIA continues to develop and promote internal talent, and we look forward to welcoming Ben on to the Partnership Insurance Leadership Team. Recruitment is now underway with a market-wide search to fill the Northern Regional Business Development Manager role, and we welcome interested applicants.”
