AIA NZ Chief Partnership Insurance Officer Sam Tremethick has made the decision to return home to Australia and will be leaving the AIA NZ team at the end of September.
As a result, AIA NZ is delighted to announce the appointments of Sharron Moana Botica as Chief Distribution Officer, and Angela Busby as Chief Customer Officer, effective 3 October 2022.
AIA NZ CEO Nick Stanhope says, “Sam has been a valuable member of the AIA NZ whānau since joining us in 2019. In this time, he has worked tirelessly alongside our Distribution team to help support our adviser and partner community. We wish him the very best as he heads back home across the ditch.”
Sharron is currently the Chief Customer & Digital Officer at AIA NZ. With more than 20 years' experience in New Zealand's life insurance industry, Sharron has held a number of senior leadership roles across HR, Operations, Digital and Marketing functions. Sharron's iwi are Maniapoto and Te Āti Awa.
Angela is currently the Chief Strategy Officer for the CEO Office at AIA NZ. Angela has more than 25 years' financial markets experience leading teams and developing strategies. Before stepping into the Strategy role at AIA NZ, Angela held roles as Chief People & Culture Officer at Sovereign, Managing Principal of ASB Securities (where she played an active role in developing and establishing Whakaterehia, ASB's Māori Leadership programme), and General Manager of Aegis. Of Māori descent, Angela is Te Rarawa and Ngati Tūwharetoa.
