An adviser will take some time to understand your needs to be able to recommend options that suit you best. If you choose to take up AIA insurance, you will then need to complete an application with your adviser.
As part of the application process, you will be required to answer questions including in relation to your medical history, which you must answer truthfully and correctly.
You will also require a valid visa (longer than 21 continuous months) to live or work in New Zealand.
Answering the application questions truthfully and correctly confirms your eligibility for insurance and when you need to make a claim the process remains as simple as possible. It’s important to disclose all relevant information, as this may affect your ability to claim on your policy.
Yes, AIA Living Life Cover offers financial support up to $20,000 to assist with returning your body back to New Zealand or to your home country (the country you were born in or are a permanent resident of).
No, while AIA still services some existing policies, those policy types are now closed to new members.
You can pay for your policy with an overseas Visa, Master Card, or an international money transfer. It’s important to check with your bank if there are any international fees charged. We are unable to have international bank accounts set up as a direct debit on a policy.
