In 2020, AIA NZ was proud to become the first insurer in Aotearoa New Zealand to be awarded the GenderTick™.
Now in 2023, it is delighted to share that through the reaccreditation process it has achieved Advanced GenderTick Status.
Created in 2018, the GenderTick enables businesses to demonstrate their compliance and leadership across five key indicators: Equal Pay, Leadership Representation, Flexible Work & Leave, Gender Safe Workplace, and a Gender Inclusive Culture.
“Receiving the advanced status stems from our recent work to design and implement initiatives around menopause, and in particular, our Menopause Toolkit, which we developed for those looking to understand and support colleagues going through menopause,” says Brynlea Hunter-Morpeth, AIA NZ Chief People and Culture Officer.
“Seen as a leader in this space, we’ve gone on to share our content and experience with other GenderTick members encouraging them on this journey too.”
“An enormous thank you to the Learning & Organisational Development team, our Gender Equality Network (GEN) and everyone else across AIA NZ involved in the many initiatives that go into demonstrating our commitment to Gender Equality. Your mahi is appreciated!”
