    AIA Vitality: HealthyFood Benefit Terms and Conditions

    The HealthyFood Benefit is an exclusive benefit available as part of the AIA Vitality Programme with AIA Services New Zealand Limited (“AIA”) and is designed to support AIA Vitality Members on their healthy eating journey, by offering discounts on qualifying fresh fruit and vegetables. The AIA Vitality HealthyFood Benefit is delivered via AIA’s partnership with Woolworths New Zealand Limited (“Woolworths”) and its Everyday Rewards Loyalty Programme (“Everyday Rewards”).

    When an AIA Vitality Member activates the HealthyFood Benefit they agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please note the AIA Vitality Terms and Conditions (“AIA Vitality T&Cs”), AIA NZ Privacy Statement (“AIA Privacy Statement”) also apply to the HealthyFood Benefit. Capitalised terms not otherwise defined in these Terms have the meaning set out in the AIA Vitality T&Cs. References to “you” or “your” in these Terms mean the AIA Vitality Member.

    The Woolworths Terms and Conditions, Everyday Rewards Terms and Conditions and Everyday Rewards Privacy Policy apply to the individual’s Everyday Rewards Membership.

    1. Eligibility for the HealthyFood Benefit Discount
      1. To be eligible for the HealthyFood Benefit, you must hold and have activated an AIA Vitality Membership via the AIA Vitality app. For the avoidance of doubt, activation of the AIA Vitality Membership is separate to activation of the HealthyFood Benefit set out in paragraph 5.
      2. You must also hold an Everyday Rewards Membership in the same name as your AIA Vitality Membership. It is free to join and be a member of the Everyday Rewards programme. You can join (i.e. register as a member) via the Everyday Rewards Website.Only one Everyday Rewards member card/account can be linked to one AIA Vitality Member at any time.
      3. Only fresh fruit and/or vegetables qualify for a discount as part of the HealthyFood Benefit (”Qualifying Products”).
        1. Inclusions: Fresh fruits, vegetables, fresh/precut fruit and vegetables and fresh herbs.
        2. Exclusions: Dried fruit, condiments, canned and frozen fruit and vegetables, and all other grocery items not explicitly defined as included.
        3. AIA reserves the right to amend the definition of Qualifying Products at any time and will endeavour to give you reasonable notice of any changes we make.
    1. Linking & activating the HealthyFood Benefit
      1. To participate in the HealthyFood Benefit, you must link your Everyday Rewards account to your AIA Vitality Membership by following the instructions outlined on the HealthyFood Benefit page in the AIA Vitality app.
      2. In order to receive the HealthyFood Benefit discount on Qualifying Products, you must activate the HealthyFood Benefit each calendar month by clicking the ‘Activate’ button in the AIA Vitality app.
      3. Once linked, a green checkmark will appear on the top of the HealthyFood Benefit page in the AIA Vitality app.
      4. Once activated, the HealthyFood Benefit discount stays active for one calendar month, expiring on the last day of the month
        1. For example:
          1. If you activate the HealthyFood Benefit on 1 July 2026 the discount will expire on 31 July 2026.
          2. If you activate the HealthyFood Benefit on 15 of July, the discount will expire on 31 July 2026.
      5. Although linking may be immediate in some cases, you should allow for up to 48 hours for their HealthyFood Benefit discount to become active after linking and activating the benefit.
      6. AIA Vitality does not accept responsibility for any app instability or availability of cellular data or internet access, which is required for linking and activating the HealthyFood Benefit.
      7. If for any reason you are unable to link your Everyday Rewards account to your AIA Vitality membership in the AIA Vitality app, it is your responsibility to contact AIA Vitality 0800 242 888 or nzvitality@aia.com.
      8. HealthyFood Benefit discounts will not be retroactively issued to you if not applied at point of purchase due to failure to properly link or activate each month.
    1. HealthyFood Benefit discount
      1. The HealthyFood Benefit discount is applied at point of sale to purchases of Qualifying Products (up to the Maximum Eligible Spend) instore at Woolworths supermarkets across New Zealand (as designated by AIA and Woolworths at their sole discretion), when you scan your linked Everyday Rewards Card.
      2. Once you have linked and activated your HealthyFood Benefit discount (as outlined in sections A & B above) you will be eligible to receive:
        1. a 10% discount with a standard AIA Vitality Membership; or
        2. a 5% discount with an AIA Vitality Starter Membership
        on Qualifying Products up to the Maximum Eligible Spend (“Baseline Discount”).

      3. You may increase your Baseline Discount by completing an annual AIA Vitality Health Check, including the four-health metrics available on the AIA Vitality App in accordance with AIA Vitality T&Cs (“AIA VHC”). More information on the AIA VHC is available here.
      4. Upon completion of the AIA VHC, the Baseline Discount increases to:
        1. 25% with a standard AIA Vitality Membership; or
        2. 10% for AIA Vitality Starter Members.
        on Qualifying Products up to the Maximum Eligible Spend (“Increased Discount”).
      5. If you complete an AIA VHC after activating your HealthyFood Benefit discount for the relevant calendar month, the Increased Discount will be applied within 48 hours of VHC completion. The Increased Discount will, subject to linking and activation of the HealthyFood Benefit (see section B), remain in effect for the remainder of the AIA Vitality Member’s Membership Year.
      6. The HealthyFood Benefit discount resets to the Baseline Discount at the commencement of your next membership year. To obtain the Increased Discount, you must complete a new VHC in accordance with paragraph 16.
      7. Percentage discounts apply on up to the first $60 (inclusive of GST) spent on Qualifying Products each calendar month, expiring on the last day of the month (“Maximum Eligible Spend”), giving a maximum monthly discount of up to $15. Unused Eligible Spend from a calendar month does not accumulate and cannot be carried over to a subsequent month. See Table below.

      8. For the avoidance of doubt, any Qualifying Products purchased in a calendar month after the Maximum Eligible Spend has been reached, will not be eligible to receive a HealthyFood Benefit discount.
      9. The HealthyFood Benefit discount applied will be shown on your Woolworths receipt.
      10. Once a HealthyFood discount is applied in accordance with paragraph 13, no refund will be issued on the discount applied to a Qualifying Product. If you return any purchased Qualifying Product, Woolworths may at its discretion, agree to accept your return and refund the cost of the Qualifying Product less the HealthyFood Benefit discounted applied. Despite any returns, the portion of HealthyFood discount will continue to count towards the Maximum Eligible Spend (see paragraph 16) for that calendar month.
    1. Unlinking from the HealthyFood Benefit
      1. You can unlink your Everyday Rewards account from your AIA Vitality Membership at any time. Once unlinked you will no longer be able to obtain the HealthyFood Benefit.
      2. To unlink, you must go to the account section of the AIA Vitality app and select Everyday Rewards account and click unlink. To relink to Everyday Rewards, follow the steps outline above Section B, 4-6.
      3. If you unlink your Everyday Rewards membership, you can change it to another Everyday Rewards account or relink again, but only once per AIA Vitality membership year.
    1. General
      1. AIA reserves the right to amend, vary or discontinue the HealthyFood Benefit at any time, at its sole discretion and amend or terminate these Terms, and will endeavour to give you reasonable notice of any changes we make. This includes substituting or varying the HealthyFood Benefit details and Terms as AIA deems appropriate.
      2. All questions regarding these Terms, or any dispute arising in connection with the HealthyFood Benefit should be addressed to AIA for resolution. All decisions made in relation to the HealthyFood Benefit will be made by AIA at its sole discretion, all decisions are final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into. If AIA cannot reasonably run the HealthyFood Benefit as planned for any reason, AIA may cancel the HealthyFood Benefit. 
      3. To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, AIA or any of its respective directors, employees, and/or agents shall not be liable for any claim, loss, damage, cost, expense or personal injury suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential losses) as a result of arising out of, or in any way in connection with the HealthyFood Benefit.  
      4. All personal information collected by AIA, including any personal information we collect from Woolworths about you for the purposes of administering the HealthyFood Benefit (for example, the total amount of HealthyFood discount applied each month), will be held in accordance with AIA NZ Privacy Statement. Any personal information collected by Everyday Rewards will be held in accordance with Woolworths and Everyday Rewards Privacy Policy and New Zealand law.
      5. The HealthyFood Benefit and these Terms are governed by New Zealand law and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.   
      6. Any failure by AIA to enforce any of its rights does not constitute waiver of those rights.
